From park laps to side hits and powder stashes, Seth Hill designed the Lightchaser for riders who see the whole mountain as their playground.

A staple of Colorado’s Flow State Crew, with a career spanning more than a decade, Seth has competed at the highest level, stacked up award-winning video parts, and evolved into a respected voice in modern snowboarding.

This is Seth’s shape, ridden into being over full seasons in the Colorado backcountry, not drawn up in a meeting. It’s a directional twin freestyle weapon that blends creativity, control, and all-mountain versatility: perfectly mid-flex, backcountry camber, with a cutout in the tail to help stomp those deep backcountry landings. Backcountry camber runs camber tip to tail, easing from 4.8mm to 4.3mm through the middle: a locked-in edge on firm snow, stability when you open it up, and real pop off every side hit and lip. Underfoot, a lightweight poplar and paulownia core delivers a responsive, balanced feel, reinforced with tip-to-tail carbon stringers for added snap and stability when things speed up. Triax glass with flax binding pads smooths chatter and adds durability, while a TPU topsheet and sintered Durasurf 4001 base keep it fast and built to take a beating. Designed with Seth’s style in mind, this is the board for pressing, sending, and finding features everywhere on the mountain.

The graphic is an original from Colorado artist Brian Henry, painted for this board and no other. Inspired by the wolfpack of Seth’s family, the story goes beyond his family to extend to the whole shred community as Seth aims to get more kids on snow.

1% of every sale goes to SOS Outreach, which has put kids on the mountain through outdoor mentorship since 1993. Seth is running on-snow days with SOS riders this season, so this board sends someone up the hill, not just a check in the mail.

S-Weave Carbon

Carbon weaved through the core from topsheet to base and back to create maximum pop.

LAYUP

Freedom Core

The pairing of paulownia and poplar is like having a helium infused board. This lightweight combination minimizes weight and maximizes performance, meaning more of your effort can go towards having fun, instead of getting dragged down by a heavy board. Paulownia has one of the best strength-to-weight ratio of any wood on the market, making it the ideal wood for cores.

Triax Fiberglass

Balanced, bombproof flex. From groomers to glades.

Sintered DuraSurf 4001 Base

This sintered base provides a faster, more durable ride with good wax retention. It's the gold standard in bases. The 4000-series sintered base have a higher density than other options on the market, leading to better durability. Additionally, this structure absorbs more wax, making for a faster and smoother ride*. 4000-series PTEX is usually reserved for only top-of-the-line boards due to a higher manufacturing cost, but at Weston we use these on every board we make.

*With great power comes great responsibility. Higher wax absorption means the wax will also release faster and requires waxing more often. If you can’t remember the last time your board has been waxed, it's probably due. A quick coat every couple of rides will keep your board lightning fast.

MATERIALS

Glossy TPU Topsheet

Short for thermoplastic polyurethane. Lightweight, adds durability, and shows fewer scratches than gloss lacquer or gloss polyamide topsheets.

PU Sidewalls

Short for polyurethane. Highly durable, with added dampening. Takes the hits. Keeps charging.

Carbon Steel Edges

Our edges are built with carbon steel, chosen for its balance of sharpness, strength, and longevity in real mountain conditions. Different rockwell hardness variants are used across our lineup to dial in performance - harder edges that hold sharpness longer for freeride and split models, and slightly softer ones for freestyle where durability and crack resistance matter most.

Each edge is precision-tuned for maximum grip when it counts - on steep couloirs, icy traverses, and firm morning groomers - while still delivering a smooth, responsive ride in deep pow. Built to take a beating and keep carving, our carbon steel edges are designed for the long haul, season after season.

  • Bio-Based Topsheets

A portion of these topsheets are derived from Castor Beans, reducing the need for petroleum based products.

  • Solvent-Free Inks

The inks in our graphics generally use natural carriers and have low to no VOCs, making them safer to work with and better for the environment.

  • Flax Fibers

Flax fibers provide great characteristics when it comes to strength and dampening, while being derived from natural plants.

  • Sustainably Sourced Cores

The wood in the cores is grown and harvested from plantations instead of from natural forests, making the process less invasive and destructive.

  • Die-Cut Bases

Solid color die-cut bases reduce the waste created by other graphics approaches, and the black is more easily repaired.

  • Recycled Material In Edges

The edges use upwards of 50% recycled materials, reusing scrap in production and reducing the need for virgin materials.

  • VOC Free Epoxy

The epoxy we use is VOC free, making it safer to work with and better for the environment without sacrificing durability or performance.
