year you started guiding

what guide services do you work for and where?

Kent Mountain Adventure Center (Estes Park, CO)

what do you teach? any specific certifications?

Splitboarding, rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, backpacking, canyoneering, avalanche education, navigation. Certs: WFR, AMGA apprentice rock guide, AIARE PRO 1 & instructor, LNT Master Educator, and NAI Certified interpretive guide.

what inspired you to become a guide?

Originally it just an excuse to climb more, over the years it has morphed into a deep passion for handing people the 'keys to the castle', the means to access the magical places of the world on their own, safely & responsibly.

any advice for upcoming guides?

Follow your passion, that needs to come first. Everyone gets way to hung up on certs and prereqs and paperwork--adventures need to come first.
