Born in deep pow and raised on rowdy steeps, the Gnarnia is Weston’s most versatile directional freeride board - built to dominate the entire mountain, from couloirs to corduroy. A moderate taper (~9mm) and setback stance gives you effortless float on storm days, without compromising precision on firm or variable terrain.

Under the hood, it’s powered by our Conqueror Core - a blend of poplar, paulownia with carbon stringers & horizontal inlay for precision, power, and stability. S-Weave Carbon Stringers running tip-to-tail and woven into the core combined with Tail V Carbon Inserts provide better landings and add that “send it to the moon” pop, while a Sintered Durasurf 4001 Base keeps you flying on the flats. The Rugged Topsheet shrugs off scratches and abuse for extended life in and out of bounds. Designed with input from Weston athletes and guides, every line, flex, and tech choice is rider-driven and built to last - backed by our 4-Year Warranty and Board Slayer Program.

    S-Weave Carbon

    Carbon weaved through the core from topsheet to base and back to create maximum pop.

    Tail V Carbon Insert

    Carbon fiber runs from the tail inserts to the tail contact points to provide added edge to edge response and spring in the tail.

    Horizontal Inlay

    Horizontal inlay under the binding inserts helps transfer energy to make edge to edge transitions quicker.

    LAYUP

    Conqueror Core

    Every wood has it’s own highlights, so we decided to bring them all together. Poplar, the jack of all trades, serves as a durable base to start with, feather-light paulownia shaves unnecessary weight, and bamboo acts as a spine to maintain stiffness. We also threw in vertical carbon stringers for additional stiffness without the weight penalty. The combination is used in our stiffest boards, designed for riders who want complete control.

    DuraSurf 4001 Base

    This sintered base provides a faster, more durable ride with good wax retention. It's the gold standard in bases. The 4000-series sintered base have a higher density than other options on the market, leading to better durability. Additionally, this structure absorbs more wax, making for a faster and smoother ride*. 4000-series PTEX is usually reserved for only top-of-the-line boards due to a higher manufacturing cost, but at Weston we use these on every board we make.

    *With great power comes great responsibility. Higher wax absorption means the wax will also release faster and requires waxing more often. If you can’t remember the last time your board has been waxed, it's probably due. A quick coat every couple of rides will keep your board lightning fast.

    MATERIALS

    Rugged Topsheet

    Short for Ultra-High Molecular Weight Sidewalls, think Rhino-Liner for your snowboard. This topsheet is bomb-proof and is designed to resist scratches and chipping. Plus its hydrophobic properties help to shed snow and prevent buildup. And if you weren’t sold already, it's made of castor beans instead of petroleum products, reducing the environmental footprint. The only downside is stickers don’t like to stick to it… but that's what helmets are for anyways.

    UHMW Sidewalls

    Highly durable and impact resistant. Takes the hits. Keeps charging.

    Stainless Steel Edges

    Unlike standard steel, stainless resists rust and corrosion from snow, moisture, and daily abuse so your gear holds up whether you’re slogging through spring slush, strapping on skins in a storm, or leaving your board on the roof rack one too many nights.

    Our edges are precision-tuned for max grip when you need it most, on steep couloirs, icy traverses, and firm morning groomers, while still delivering a smooth, responsive ride in deep pow. The stainless construction not only extends the lifespan of your board but also reduces the need for constant maintenance, keeping you locked in and ready to slay pow season after season.

    SUSTAINABLE FEATURES

    • Bio-Based Topsheets

      A portion of these topsheets are derived from Castor Beans, reducing the need for petroleum based products.

    • Solvent-Free Inks

      The inks in our graphics generally use natural carriers and have low to no VOCs, making them safer to work with and better for the environment.

    • Flax Fibers

      Flax fibers provide great characteristics when it comes to strength and dampening, while being derived from natural plants.

    • Sustainably Sourced Cores

      The wood in the cores is grown and harvested from plantations instead of from natural forests, making the process less invasive and destructive.

    • Die-Cut Bases

      Solid color die-cut bases reduce the waste created by other graphics approaches, and the black is more easily repaired.

    • Recycled Material In Edges

      The edges use upwards of 50% recycled materials, reusing scrap in production and reducing the need for virgin materials.

    • VOC Free Epoxy

      The epoxy we use is VOC free, making it safer to work with and better for the environment without sacrificing durability or performance.
